Wall systems made of renewable resources

Goal of this project was to transfer building with straw bales from an experimental phase to a professional phase by means of technical certifications, effective quality control and optimised passive house constructions. This was done in three areas: technical tests and certificates regarding heat resistance and thermal conductivity in accordance with Austrian and European building standards; development of constructive solutions for wall systems and connection details; development of a mobile test unit for quality control of straw bales from field to finished house.
